Every tutor on MathsPro is interviewed, reference-checked, and assessed for subject expertise before they can join. We only accept tutors who can demonstrate genuine teaching ability — not just academic credentials.

We specialise in maths: GCSE Maths (Foundation and Higher), A-Level Maths, Further Maths, and Statistics. Our tutors cover all major exam boards including AQA, Edexcel, OCR, and OCR MEI.

Tutors set their own hourly rates, and MathsPro adds a flat £5 platform fee. There are no subscriptions, hidden fees, or percentages. You always see the full price before booking.

Yes. Many of our tutors offer a discounted trial rate for the first lesson, so you can see if they’re the right fit before committing to regular sessions.

We support students from Year 7 through Year 13 — covering KS3, GCSE, and A-Level. Whether your child is building foundations or preparing for university entrance exams, we have tutors who specialise in their level.

Once you’ve been matched with a tutor, you can book lessons directly through the platform. Choose a time that works, confirm the booking, and pay online.

We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full. We understand things come up, so please contact us if there are exceptional circumstances.

Yes, both. Many of our tutors offer online lessons (via video call with shared whiteboards) and in-person lessons in selected areas. You can choose whichever format suits your family best.

Standard lessons are 60 minutes. Some tutors offer 90-minute sessions for students who need more intensive support, especially during exam season.

Our tutors use video conferencing tools with shared interactive whiteboards. All you need is a laptop or tablet with a webcam and a stable internet connection.

Yes. While regular weekly slots are recommended for consistency, you can reschedule lessons with your tutor as needed, provided you give adequate notice.

Our tutors hold relevant degrees and/or teaching qualifications. Many have maths degrees from leading universities, PGCE qualifications, or years of professional tutoring experience. We verify all qualifications during the application process.

Yes. We require all tutors to have a current DBS certificate. We verify DBS status as part of our vetting process and track certification status for all active tutors.

Absolutely. If for any reason the tutor isn’t the right fit, let us know and we’ll find a better match. There’s no penalty for switching.

Prices vary by tutor and subject level. Each tutor sets their own hourly rate, and MathsPro adds a flat £5 platform fee. You’ll see the exact cost before confirming any booking.

The £5 fee covers personalised tutor matching, secure payment processing, lesson booking and scheduling, progress tracking, and dedicated support. There are no additional charges.

If you’re not satisfied with a lesson, contact us within 48 hours and we’ll review the situation. We handle refunds on a case-by-case basis and always aim to be fair.

No. You pay per lesson with no subscription, contract, or minimum commitment. Book as many or as few lessons as you need.
