Terms of Service — Parents

1. About these terms

These terms apply to parents and guardians ("you") who use the MathsPro platform to find and book maths tutoring for their children. By using our service, you agree to these terms.

2. Our service

MathsPro is a tutoring marketplace. We match your child with a suitable tutor based on the information you provide. Tutors are independent contractors, not employees of MathsPro. We vet all tutors before they join the platform but do not guarantee specific outcomes.

3. Booking and payment

• When you approve a tutor match, you can book lessons through the platform.
• Payment is taken at the time of booking via Stripe.
• The total cost is the tutor's hourly rate plus a flat £5 platform fee.
• You will receive a booking confirmation by email.

4. Cancellations

• Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the lesson: full refund.
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before: no refund (the tutor has reserved the time).
• If a tutor cancels, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.

5. Your responsibilities

• Provide accurate information about your child's needs.
• Ensure your child is available for booked lessons.
• Treat tutors with respect and professionalism.
• Report any concerns about a tutor promptly.

6. Safeguarding

All tutors on MathsPro undergo DBS checks. For online lessons, we recommend parents remain nearby. See our Safeguarding Policy for full details.

7. Liability

MathsPro facilitates the connection between parents and tutors. We are not responsible for the quality of individual lessons or for any outcomes. Our liability is limited to the platform fee paid.

8. Disputes

If you are unhappy with a tutor or a lesson, please contact us at support@mathspro.co.uk. We will investigate and, where appropriate, arrange a replacement tutor or refund.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email.
